Candidates cast votes in Jacksonville's 2019 election

The future of who will lead Jacksonville’s next government is the hands of more than 606,000 registered voters, some of whom, are on the ballot.

The future of who will lead Jacksonville’s next government is the hands of more than 606,000 registered voters, some of whom are on the ballot themselves.

Mayor Curry and family arrived at Southside United Methodist Church on Hendricks Ave at 8 a.m. on Tuesday to vote ahead of election day.

One of his opponents, Anna Brosche, arrived at Wesconnett Church of Christ to cast her vote before a long day of sign waving and an evening election watch party later in the afternoon.

Omega Allen and Jimmy Hill also voted this morning. Hill in Atlantic Beach and Allen on the Northside.

The race that has garnered the most attention is the mayor's race. Incumbent Lenny Curry (R) is facing challengers Omega Allen (NPA), Anna Brosche (R) and Jimmy Hill (R).
